b) The shading is great especially on the hair.
c) Question, Where did you learn how to do this? I've been trying life drawing for a few months and it is really hard. Any tips?
b) Thank you!
c) You're on the right track if you're going to life drawing sessions, drawing people on the bus etc. It's just practice practice practice in all honesty. You'll want to give up, there'll be times when you think all hope is lost, but keep it up in one way or another and you're going to be just fine. And DON'T LISTEN TO CHRISTOPHER HART or ANY step-by-step book. They will only hold you back. And don't force a style. You can draw from someone's style, copy a few of their drawings to see what they're doing and how you can use some of their techniques, but NEVER try to BE them. It won't work. And the style of you will always be more interesting. No one does you like you. Go and find you.
Oh, and, yes, you will ALWAYS think that someone else is better than you. There's nothing you can do about that. lol
