I really do miss 9 from time to time. He was SUCH a good Doctor it's a true shame he only did one season before Tennant made most of us go "Eccle-who?" and forget that he's the reason we started watching the new stuff in the first place.

Nine was my very first Doctor and always has a special place in my fanheart. The grin, the ears, the jacket, the swagger, the doorway lean, the accent, the attitude... Yep. I miss him.

For long-time watchers, you may recognize this drawing from my earlier stuff. Yes, I've attempted this pose before, but this is a completely redone drawing from scratch.

Done on white paper with 0.3 mechanical HB pencil, then scanned to Corel Painter where I made the paper grey and added highlights (Tutorial here: [link]).

I miss Nine too.

David Tennant has grown on me (used to not like him at all, mostly thanks to how he portrayed Barty Crouch, Jr in Harry Potter, since I'm very picky about HP characters! haha), but Christopher Eccleston will always be my Doctor. I tried watching the show with the other Doctors and couldn't get into it, but when I went back and watched it from the beginning of Chris' run, I feel in love with the show and the Doctor. He's perfect and it's still makes me tear up knowing how short his run was.
