RUN - Doctor Who Painting by Girl-on-the-Moon RUN - Doctor Who Painting by Girl-on-the-Moon
“Very first word I ever said to you, trapped in that cellar, surrounded by shop window dummies, ooh, such a long time ago. I took your hand… I said one word. Just one word. I said run.”
-The Doctor in 'Born Again', which you can watch here.

(I never knew the minisode had a title but I guess it does because that's what people are calling it so I'm just going with it.)

Drawn in Corel Painter! :D
(And "Doctor Who" is annoyingly slipped in the title so that dA's search might actually WORK)

WWOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is amazing! This is the most lifelike painting, in coulour, I have ever seen of him. It's so amazing. His eyes and facial expression are spot on and and his hair look aaaaammmmaaazzzinggg!!!! I love how you
did his freckles, and the lighting in the painting is awesome. I can'tt believe how realistic you made him look! When I saw this in my messages, I was all like WOW! Really, this is a really really really awesome piece! I love this. I'm going to keep saying it too. I love it, but if you did a background, I would love it 10283829183732346283203848264018273% more. xD Again, I LOVE IT!!!!!

This is really well done! You capture his intent expression and his likeness very, very well. I especially love the shading on his nose, in particular the shading on his nostril.
His tufty hair is also really goddamn cute. Ahem.
The thing that makes this so beautiful to me is the unity and blending of the different lighting, especially when the orange starts going into the teal down his face. It's done very well, and his skin tones interact beautifully with the lighting as well.
However, something that seems a little jarring to me is the blue continuing with very little variation along the right side. It seems eerily constant to me.

It's from a minisode that they did for Children in Need in 2005 that comes in between The Parting of the Ways and The Christmas Invasion. I can't believe I didn't provide a link for people who haven't seen it! How silly of me.

Amazing job with the detail in the face and making him look lifelike (though he is very reminiscent of Marshall Mann from the tv series "In Plain Sight")
