Thror's Map - 'The Hobbit' Replica by Girl-on-the-Moon Thror's Map - 'The Hobbit' Replica by Girl-on-the-Moon
My scanner wasn’t quite big enough, but here’s a much better look at my hand-crafted replica of Thror’s map. I wasn’t pleased at all with the print available from Weta workshop, and thought I could just do my own and save a bunch of money.

Daler Rowney Acrylic Artist’s Ink in Sepia 251 & Flame Red 517
Hunt 100 nib
9”x12” Canson 24 lb parchment paper in “natural”
About 6 hours of work and lots of water and mixing of inks.

I’d ask that no one use this for stock purposes. Thanks! Merry holidays!

It takes about five hours of work to make a map. I love doing it though! Very meditative. :D
