I've just spent my morning trying to google my copyright issue, but so far no luck. Maybe you can help?
I want to do the Search for the Truth book quite desperately, but there's no getting around the fact that I've used the Doctor, TARDIS, Daleks and lots of other stuff that is most definitely not mine. SO I wanted to talk to the BBC and ask what I can do about it to get this graphic novel to print. Or not. But I need to know what their legal stance on the whole thing is.
Ideally, I wanted to message Charlie/Alex and ask "How the hell did you get away with selling Chameleon Circuit albums?", since I figured that would be a straighter answer than one the BBC might give. Buuuut I can't find any contact info for them either. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
What's tricky about it is that I'm not using any stuff that the BBC have made, like photographs or a video clip, it's very much all my own work. I'm just using their copyrighted IDEAS in my own stuff. They don't really seem to have a form for that. Unless they do. But I can't find it.
I know lots of people make and sell very unofficial DW merchandise all the time (Etsy etc) and get away with it, but it's just my luck that this would be the ONE thing the BBC notices.
Any and all help appreciated!
